E-filing of Patent Application

You may wonder whether it is easy to get the patents and file the patents online. Well this is not a difficult task at al. if you are really interested in getting patents. A procedure on the website ipindiaonline will give you whole information of how to file the patent online. The whole system is carried out in supervision of :

Ministry of Commerce & Industry
2.
Department of Industrial Policy & Promotion
3.
Controller General of Patents Design and Trade Marks

For some help regarding this process it is explained below as

1) Go to online portal at https://ipindiaonline.gov.in/on_line/
2) There is a link on the upper right hand side which says on-line registration for new user.
3) Login to this and confirm your registration.
4) Download and install Client software for filing patent applications online.
5) Fill patent and it will generate a XML sheet containing all your information
6) After creating application file offline, Digitally sign the application file to upload on IPO server.
7) Process Application for EFT (Fee Transaction).
8) Review Application Status on E-Patent Portal.
9) On successful EFT acknowledgement details would be displayed/ generated.
10) Print Acknowledgement. Click on "Print" to generate printout of acknowledgement.
